Home to the Boston Bruins and Boston Celtics
Though this is not much of a secret TD Garden is the home-ground of the Boston Bruins of the NHL and the Boston Celtics of the NBA. Did you know that the founder of the Boston Bruins Charles Adams was a grocery store tycoon? He formed the team in 1924 making it the first National Hockey League franchise in the United States. The founder of the Boston Celtics, Walter A. Brown was the President of Boston Garden-Arena Corporation, established the team in 1946, and contributed towards the formation of the NBA.
Nearly 200 public events are held here each year!
TD Garden hosts more than 3.5 million people each year. As a result TD Garden is booked throughout the year for various sporting and non-sporting events. It has a massive seating capacity of 19580 people. The impressive facilities like its size and appeal have allowed it to host many prominent sporting events such as 1996 NHL All-Star Game, 1996 and 2000 US Gymnastics Trials, 1998 NCAA Men’s Ice Hockey Championship, 2001 US Figure Skating Championship and many more. Also, the first MMA Event took place at TD Garden in 2010.
Amazing dining facilities
Along with the state-of-the-art technology and other impressive facilities, TD Garden houses 3 private restaurants: Banners Harbor View, Boston Coach Lounge and The Premium Club Bistro. Banners Harbor View is located on Level 6 of the arena and they serve contemporary American cuisine and they specialize in seafood. Also located on Level 6 is the Boston Coach Lounge which offers a sushi bar. While the Premium Club Bistro is a more casual restaurant located on level 5.
TD Garden is rightfully the home to the Boston Bruins and the Boston Celtics as it has been a part of many sports memories and it will continue to be a prominent sports arena in Boston with its facilities and amenities.
