5 Celebrities Who Call Rhode Island Home

It’s no wonder that many celebrities choose to maintain homes in gorgeous Rhode Island as retreats away from the bustle of life in NYC and LA. Several actors, musicians, directors, athletes and even famous chefs have called “The Ocean State” home at some point in their lives. Celebrities Taylor Swift and Conan O’Brien have no familial ties to the state, but still opted to purchase second homes there, clearly drawn by the beauty of America’s tiniest province.

Taylor Swift

Country and pop crossover sensation, Taylor Swift purchased a $17.75 million mansion in Westerly, Rhode Island in 2013. Although she has no ties to the Ocean State, she, like so many others, was taken in by the quiet beauty of this seaside retreat. Westerly is a bit less quiet when Swift is around! She has been known to throw some epic beach bashes with her celebrity pals, including a star-studded 2014 4th of July celebration.

Conan O’Brien

The late-night funny man grew up in Brookline, Massachusetts, so it’s not such a stretch that he also chose lovely Westerly, RI as his home away from the city. O’Brien’s home is a bit more modest than Swift’s estate – worth a reported $723,000.

After a long break from Instagram, I have decided to return. #SuperConan

#mangiapregaama #eatpraylove #juliaroberts #richardjenkins #meditazione
