5 Boston Restaurants Offering Savage Shark Week Specials

It's almost time for the annual craziness that is Discovery Channel’s Shark Week. Believe it or not, 2019 marks the 31st year of toothy television goodness!

The fun begins Sunday July 28 and includes 20 hours of content culminating on August 4. 

If you look forward to Shark Week like others anticipate the Super Bowl, you'll want to check out these 5 Boston-area restaurants and their shark-themed celebrations!

1. Charc Week at Post 390

Head to the tavern at Post 390 during lunch or dinner any day during Shark Week to enjoy a variety of unique and delicious charcuterie specials from Chef Nick Deutmeyer. This is his second year creating seafood delights for Charc Week. This year's specials include Smoked Bluefish Pate, Smoked Lobster and Shrimp Sausage, and Monkfish Nduja.


2. Save the Ocean Shark Week Kick Off Party at Rooftop@Revere


Revere Hotel Boston Common is hosting an all-day celebration on the first day of Shark Week (August 28). The soiree will be held on their fabulous rooftop space from 11 Am until midnight. Drink specials include Hawksbill rosé, that raises funds for hurricane relief efforts in the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico, and the Shark Tank Cocktail made with Bacardi rum, pineapple juice, lemon juice, cotton candy syrup, and adorable shark gummies! There will also be plenty of shark-themed games and prizes. Tickets are $30

 

3. Shark Week Pre-Game & Kickoff at Lamplighter Brewing Co.

Also on July 28 is Lamplighter Brewing's kickoff party. This one features screenings of instant classics Sharknado, Sharknado 2: The Second One, and Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No!. The Cambridge-based brewery even has a new brew for the occasion - Baby Shark IPA! 

 

4. Baby Shark Cocktails at Glass House

Head to Kendall Square's Glass House anytime during Shark Week to enjoy a Baby Shark cocktail. It's a blue raspberry frozen mojito drizzled with Stoli crushed strawberry vodka and topped off with a gummy shark. Yum! Better still, $1 from each Baby Shark cocktail will be donated to the Ocean Conservancy

 

5. Shark Bite Cocktails at Rowes Wharf Sea Grille

Enjoy gorgeous views of Boston Harbor while enjoying a Shark Bite cocktail at Rowes Wharf Sea Grille. Available throughout Shark Week, this specialty drink is made with Captain Morgan spiced rum, light rum, blue curaçao, sour mix, grenadine, and a gummy shark.
