If you want a 360 – degree view of the Greater Boston area, The Prudential Center Skywalk Observatory is the only place where you can enjoy this view. You can enjoy a view of Boston 360 and can be seen up to 100 miles away! Most Boston landmarks like Harvard University, Charles River, MIT, Boston Common and Public Garden, Hancock Tower, Fenway Park, The Esplanade, Hatch Shell and more is visible from the Skywalk Observatory.
In addition to the amazing view, you can experience interactive exhibits with a state-of-the-art audio tour. You can also stroll around the Dreams of Freedom Museum. The audio tour does a great job describing the city’s points interest including parts of the historic past and current interests. In an effort to connect with a broad range of people, the audio tour is available in English, Spanish, Dutch, French, Japanese, and Mandarin.
The Skywalk Observatory is also a popular venue for various social events like parties, weddings, rehearsal dinners and corporate events. It can accommodate up to 1000 guests for an event such as a cocktail party and around 600 guests for a sit-down event. The delicious cuisine, amazing view and wonderful service are among the main reasons why this is a popular venue for social events. Additionally, it is surrounded by some of the best hotels in the area; Back Bay and Copley are within walking distance from the Skywalk Observatory.
The Skywalk Observatory and Exhibit is open 7 days a week.They are open from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. during winters and from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. during summers. You can buy the tickets at the Skywalk Observatory Kiosk located in Prudential Arcade. But, it might not be available for a visit at all times due to some weather problems, business demands, and private functions. So, make sure you call the Skywalk Observatory before visiting so you can enjoy Boston 360 once you get there!
