Every year, for three months, Boston celebrates the nation’s longest running wine and food festival, the Boston Wine Festival. With numerous exciting events every week, the Boston Harbor Hotel is decorated annually for this celebration. 2016 marks the 27th year of this grand festival.
Chef Daniel Bruce, in 1989, founded the Boston Wine Festival, and there was no looking back. Ever since the Boston Wine Festival has been celebrated every year from January to March. He is known for his talent of pairing unique menus with exclusive wines in the celebration. Every year, he amazes the crowd with his extraordinary buffet of delicious meals served alongside wines from different wineries. Chef Bruce’s excellent never repeated menu with 3000 different dishes has, till date, been served alongside 75,000 wine bottles!
The most awaited events of the celebration are the Grand Opening Reception, the Champagne Dinner Dance and the Valentine’s Jazz Brunch, celebrating food and wine along with the romantic ambience of music and dance. The festival has more than fifty events this year and started from January 8th and will continue until March 25th.
With numerous winemakers and their special wines, the Boston Wine Festival has been serving different events in different months. Like every other year, the Grand Opening Reception in January was an anticipated event. February is known for its very romantic Champagne Dinner Dance and the Valentine’s Jazz Brunch. Besides that, the Pinot dinner, the Battle of the Cabernets and many other events have been highlights of the festival. March is marked by the best wines presented in the Cabernet Reception, and every day is a new experience with an incredible bond between wine and food. To sum it up the Boston Wine Festival is an you do not want to miss!
