Every New Englander Needs To Visit Jackson, NH For The Holidays

Beginning on Black Friday, Jackson, New Hampshire and its surrounding villages transform into a holiday wonderland. Simply pass over the Jackson Historic Covered Bridge adorned with Christmas wreaths and glowing white lights and into the village square.

The "Traditionally Yours" Christmas celebration has been a Jackson tradition for going on 30 years. Each season the residents and local businesses go all out to bring to life the magic of the holidays for guests and locals alike.

What's so special about the "Traditionally Yours" celebration? Well, to start, it includes an entire month of festivities!

The kick-off weekend begins on Black Friday when local businesses offer open houses, holiday drink tastings, and storytelling sessions.

The next day at 4:30, Santa arrives in a horse drawn sleigh and heads to the Jackson Village gazebo for photos with the kids.

On Sunday evening the Jackson town tree is lit for the very first time in the annual "Ole' Fashioned Tree Lighting Ceremony." Afterwards, the gorgeous Christmas Farm Inn & Spa opens its doors to all for a special open house.

Over the next four weeks, Jackson is alive with holiday craft fairs, wine and drink tastings, cookie decorating, and much more!

The famous Jingle Bell Chocolate Tour has added an additional date for 2018 due to popular demand. On December 22, a limited number of guests will enjoy a magical Austrian Horse Drawn Sleigh Ride  through Jackson village, stopping to collect handmade chocolates from local business along the way!

Each rider receives an average of eight chocolates, a festive Christmas Holiday bag for any chocolates not eaten on the tour, and a commemorative Jingle Bell to take home.

If chocolate isn't your thing, but you'd still like to experience a real sleigh ride in a horse drawn carriage, visit Nestlenook Farm. In addition to sleigh rides, they offer ice skating and snow shoing excursions.
