Mookie Betts SLAMS rumors that he doesn't like Boston

The big decision awaits us in 2020: will Mookie Betts re-sign with the Boston Red Sox?
He is set to become a free agent following the 2020 season, and it's unclear what he and the organization are going to do about it.
He is a future Hall of Fame talent, if we are being completely honest. He is going to command a lot of money on the open market -- money that I don't know if the Red Sox are going to be able to offer him.
And the bigger question is: would Mookie even want to play in Boston again
According to WEEI, there's some rumors that Betters doesn't like playing in Boston. I had never heard that before. But on a radio appearance on their station, he was asked about them.
Here's what he had to say about it.
"No matter what I say, people are going to have their opinions and there's nothing you can do about that," Betts said. "But I've made it known this is my second home. I've been here, this is all I know. I've loved it here. I love the fans, everybody -- my teammates, front office, everybody here. That doesn't change the business of baseball and what value is there.
"I don't want to go down that path, but for people who don't think I enjoy it here, I love it here. I come here in the winter time just to come hang out with friends and whatnot. My family loves coming up here and going to do things. It's not that I don't like Boston at all."
So boom. There you have it.
Betts seems to like Boston. The fans in Boston love him. I don't know where people make up these narratives. He always seems like he's been committed to winning ballgames in this city.
Hopefully, he is a member of the Red Sox for a long time. He's too talented.
