The 5 Best Places In New England To Partake In An All-You-Can-Eat Feast

You don't have to fly to Vegas to indulge in an epic all-you-can-eat dining experience! Yankee Magazine has rounded up five New England eateries where you can feast to your heart's content for one flat price.

The Harraseeket Inn
Freeport, Maine

This lovely inn is located just steps from LL Bean and Freeport's best shops. Its Broad Arrow Tavern serves a daily breakfast buffet featuring delicacies like lobster Benedict. Their Sundays buffet is even more decadent with heaping piles of chilled local lobster. They also serve all-you-can-eat lunch Monday through Saturday with soups, salads, meats, seafood, pizzas, sides and fabulous homemade desserts like macadamia-encrusted chocolate coconut banana cream cake.

Hot Pot Buffet
Boston, Massachusetts

The concept at this popular Chinatown restaurant is a bit different. Instead of loading your plate with premade goodies, you cook your own raw selections at your table from a checklist of more than 60 items! Start with a pot of bubbling broth and slowly swirl your meats, seafoods and veggies about until they are done to perfection!

Nordic Lodge
Charlestown, Rhode Island

An all-you-can-eat dinner at The Nordic comes with a $98 price tag, but here's a taste of what that sum buys you according to Yankee:

"Unlimited Maine lobsters, jumbo cocktail shrimp, slow-cooked prime rib, grilled-to-order filet mignon, fried scallops, butter-bathed steamers, Watch Hill oysters...freshly prepared salads, soups, sides, desserts, and custom-made ice cream creations."

But the Nordic Lodge experience goes beyond just food with supurb service and access to the outdoor area complete with hammocks, fire pits, live weekend music, a pond and grazing farm animals.

Seasons Buffet at Mohegan Sun
Uncasville, Connecticut

New England's own casino paradise, Mohegan Sun features a buffet worthy of its Nevada-based competitors. They serve three meals a day with at least 200 items - many freshly prepared to-order right in front of you - at any given time. According to Yankee, if you get there before 11 you can take advantage of the breakfast/lunch changeover and indulge in your choice of 400 selections including New England classics like baked cod and clam chowder. There's also a 30-foot-long dessert display!

Southern Maine Community College Oceanview Dining Hall
Portland, Maine

It may seem pretty random to find a college cafeteria on this list, but a look at some of the Instagram photos will convince you otherwise. Not only does the dining hall overlook Casco Bay and Portland Head Light, they serve up some pretty good chow at great prices.

Choices include a healthy salad bar with Maine-grown produce, pizza, pasta, deli-made sandwiches, grilled burgers, hotdogs, fresh pastries, and rotating goodies like sushi and Korean tacos at the chef-staffed action station.

Enjoy a fresh, delicious, breakfast buffet for $5, lunch and late-night for $6 and dinner for just $7!
