Save The Bay is an independent, non-profit organization at Westerly, Rhode Island. They have been conducting Tours from 10th October 2015 and it will last until 24th August 2016. The tour takes place aboard the M/V Alletta Morris. By providing the tours, Save The Bay Seals Tours helps to raise funds for the conservation of the bay area.
About Save The Bay Seals Tours
The seal tours and nature cruises have been running for more than 15 years. It can be a great opportunity for your entire family to enjoy. The cruise can be both an opportunity for children to learn more about the semi aquatic mammals and for sightseeing for adults and children alike. The tours are an hour, 75 minutes or two hours long. A pair of binoculars is provided to each individual, so they can take a closer look at the seals. The tours take place at Newport, Westerly and Fall River and are guided by experts.
Tour Details
Newport Seal Cruises
The Newport Seal Cruises take place on Saturdays, Sundays, and public school vacation days from 14th November 2015 to 24th April 2016. The tour takes you through the historic Newport Harbor. The seals can be seen resting on the rocks of Rose Island and the Newport Bridge.
Fall River Seal Cruises
The Fall River Cruises take place on Saturdays and Sundays from 5th March to 10th April 2016. The cruise takes you on a 75-minute picturesque boat ride down the Taunton River and into Mt. Hope Bay.
Westerly Seal Cruises
The Westerly Cruises will take place in fall 2016 as part of the Seal Tours next year. As you cruise down Pawcatuck River and into Little Narragansett Bay, the beautiful fall foliage will accompany you.
