Relax & Rejuvenate At This Magical Destination In Western Massachusetts
Share
Nestled in the hills of Western Massachusetts sits eight acres of perennial, stone and water gardens dotted with twinkling mosaics and life-size fairy sculptures built by local artists over the last 25 years.
This fairytale wonderland is the Three Sisters Sanctuary in Goshen. With gorgeous flowers, lush landscaping, and amazing sculpture gardens, it is the place where art and nature meet.
Three Sisters opened to the public in 2010. It is the passion project of artist and caretaker, Richard M. Richardson who lives right on the property. After falling in love with the wild beauty of Goshen, MA Richardson was inspired to create the sanctuary in honor of his daughters - the "three sisters."
When you enter the property, several paths invite you to explore the landscaped gardens, sculptures and mosaics. Be sure to take your time and peak behind the landscaped walls or you might miss a magical detail.
"On your way, you will encounter impressive standing stones, small and large cairns, classic statuary, bejeweled beings, and other whimsical and fascinating treats for the eye, mind and soul," The Three Sisters website reads. "Cozy niches along the trail invite you to stop, rest and take it all in."
Restore your inner tranquility as you sit by the peaceful water garden with its gently swaying aquatic grasses.
Bask in the colorful beauty of the expansive butterfly garden.
Or reflect and celebrate the lives of lost friends and loved ones in a quiet and powerful memorial garden.
The sanctuary's most iconic piece of art is a real fire-breathing dragon made of colorful stone, metal and glass.
As a devoted lover of art, Richardson frequently invites fellow creators to display their creations. The result is an ever-changing landscape of awe-inspiring local artwork and over 200 standing stones.
Should you fall in love with the sanctuary, why not spend the night? Three Sisters offers a whimsical garden suite through AirBnb for the ultimate enchanting getaway.
The gardens are also available for events - everything from weddings and private ceremonies to corporate retreats and live theater.
Three Sisters Sanctuary is open to the public every day from 8 a.m. until dusk. Admission is $10 for adults and free for children. Learn more about this magical place or book your visit now!
