Top Of The Hub: Boston’s Most Scenic Restaurant

Bostonians rarely get the opportunity to enjoy just how beautiful their city truly is. Soaring 52 floors into the sky, the Prudential Center (or the Pru to you locals) boasts breathtaking 360 degree views of the city skyline at the Top of the Hub restaurant. The incredible vantage point will make you fall in love with Boston all over again. Oh, and the food’s not bad, either!

In business since 1965, there is not a single “bad seat” in the restaurant. With floor to ceiling windows all around, every table and spot at the bar comes with a view. You can choose to watch the sun sparkle off the Atlantic during lunch, enjoy award winning cuisine at Sunday brunch, or plan a romantic evening with a 5 star meal and cocktails.

The menu includes local favorites like steamed native lobster, jumbo sea scallops and the seafood lover’s dream dish, the New England fisherman’s bowl. This massive entree contains local catch, lobster, mussels, clams, chorizo, kale, potatoes and clam butter broth.

Not a seafood fan? Try a 10 ounce filet mignon or a center cut New York strip steak. If you’re looking to save some green, there’s lighter fare like salads and chicken, or try an appetizer at the bar with an expertly crafted cocktail.

The three course Prix Fixe menu is perfect for a romantic evening or celebration for two. At $60 per person it includes a choice of salads, appetizers, entrees and desserts. Choose a bottle from the extensive wine list and dance the night away to one of many jazz bands that perform every evening at Top of the Hub.

Perhaps their most popular service is Sunday Brunch. Every Sunday for 11 – 2 you can sample a variety of upscale breakfast and lunch creations for $42 per adult and $24 per child under 12. Choose from a selection of AM favorites like omelets, brioche French toast, fried chicken and waffle sliders, and three different Eggs Benedict options. Next, load up your plate with savory delights like scallops wrapped in bacon, shrimp and grits and crispy goat cheese and mushroom fondue.

The Top of the Hub restaurant is the perfect spot for corporate and private events – like a rehearsal dinner or a proposal. If you are lucky enough to secure a table or place at the bar on the Fourth of July or New Year’s Eve, you will have a panoramic view of the fireworks and festivities that will top anything else you’ve seen. Whether you come for the sights, the sounds, the atmosphere, or the food, every Boston resident should experience this city staple at least once.
